Dim's Home Style Ljutenica (540g)

If you grew up in the Balkans, Lujutenica spread on a thick slice of bread was a go-to after-school snack. A pantry staple in the Southeastern Europe, Ljutenica is traditionally made with roasted red bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots, fefferoni peppers, sunflower oil and seasonings. Similar to our Homestyle Hot Ajvar, but with a chunkier texture akin to a finely chopped ratatouille, Dim’s Homestyle Ljutenica is also made with “Baba Gina’s” secret family recipe, dating back to 1965! Serve as an appetizer with cheese and crackers, or in a meze platter. Add to tomato-based soups and stews or use as a condiment with roasted meat. For a healthy vegetarian entrée, serve with roasted eggplant and potatoes and sprinkle with Feta cheese.
